Workday in Design Center

Design Center enables you to create apps visually. To use Design Center, work with your Anypoint Platform administrator to ensure that you have a Design environment. For more information, see the Flow Designer Tour.

Configure an Input Source Trigger

A trigger is an event that starts a flow in a Mule application.

  1. In Anypoint Platform > Design Center, click Create > Create new application.

  2. Configure a trigger.

  3. Click the Trigger card and select Workday Connector:

  4. A list of object types that you can use to trigger Mule applications with the Workday connector is displayed.

    In the Workday connector, the input source trigger is named New Objects Trigger.

  5. Specify the Workday Operation.

  6. Select Click here to set it up to set the required fields for the User Name, Password, and Tenant Name. This information is available from your Workday account. After you specify this information, click Test to ensure your Design Center app can access Workday.

HTTP Listener or Scheduler as a Trigger

If you are not using the Workday New Objects Trigger as the input source trigger, you can use the HTTP Listener or Scheduler.

  1. In Design Center, click a trigger. Use an HTTP Listener or Scheduler trigger.

  2. To create an HTTP trigger for the connector, set these fields:

    Http listener config
    1. Protocol: Protocol selected for the HTTP Listener, it can be HTTP or HTTPS (secure).

    2. Host: IP address where the Mule application should listen for requests.

    3. Port: Port address where the Mule application should listen for requests.

    4. Base Path: Path where the Mule application should listen for requests.

  3. Select the plus sign to add a component.

  6. Configure the Global element for the connector.

    Field Description

    Configuration Name

    The name of the configuration.

    Connection

    The connection associated with the configuration.

    Username

    Enter the username to log in with.

    Password

    Enter the corresponding password.

    Tenant Name

    Enter the Workday Tenant ID, which usually has the suffix pt_1 appended to it, such as acme_pt1.

    Host Name

    Enter the host name of one of Workdayโ€™s Cloud Servers. Default value: impl-cc.workday.com.

    Custom Transport

    Connection Idle Timeout and Response Timeout, and set up a proxy connection.

Configure the Workday Component

  1. After creating a trigger, click the plus sign to open the Select a component card.

  2. Search for Workday and click the Workday Connector.

  3. Select a connector operation such as Payroll.

  4. Specify the Workday Operation.

  5. Select Click here to set it up to set the required fields for the User Name, Password, and Tenant Name. This information is available from your Workday account. After you specify this information, click Test to ensure your Design Center app can access Workday.
