MuleSoft MCP Server Overview

MuleSoft MCP Server implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) so AI assistants in your IDE can work with Anypoint Platform on your behalf through structured, permission-scoped tool calls. You state goals in natural language while the server automates work across API design, integration assets, deployments, governance, and operational insight. It integrates with MuleSoft Vibes in Anypoint Code Builder and Connector Builder, and with other MCP-aware editors such as Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code.

Typical lifecycle areas you address through the tools include:

  • API specification development

  • Application creation and configuration

  • Agent network creation

  • Asset publication in Exchange

  • Instance deployment and management to CloudHub 2.0 and Runtime Fabric

  • Application security
