AS2 Send Endpoint Settings

Use these to set up AS2 endpoint settings to send outbound EDI files to your trading partners.

Create the AS2 identifiers for your organization and your trading partners in the respective host and trading partner profile pages.

Setting Description Required

Owner

The trading partner or host that owns the endpoint.

Protocol

The protocol selected in the Protocol field of the New endpoint: Receive from partners window.

Endpoint Name

The name used to identify the endpoint + The value in the Endpoint Name field is generated automatically but can be modified manually.

Description

The user-defined field for describing the purpose and use of the endpoint.

Trading partner AS2 URL

Your trading partner’s AS2 URL to which outbound EDI transmissions need to be sent.

Connection timeout

The timeout for establishing connection to the remote service. The value in this field is set to 30 Seconds by default.

Retry interval

The frequency of reconnection attempts when unable to connect to the remote AS2 service. The value in this field is set to 30 Seconds by default.

Maximum retry attempts

The maximum number of reconnection attempts to make.

Respond to email address

The email address used as HTTP 'From' header when sending.

Message subject

The user-defined field for MIME Subject header.

Filename pattern

File name pattern as required by your trading partner or backend application.

Request receipt

Specify if you want the trading partner to send an MDN receipt back, confirming the receipt of the message.

The AS2 messages sent from Partner Manager always request the receiver to send a Synchronous MDN receipt back. The value in this field is set to Sync by default.
