New Features and Enhancements

This version of Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition contains the following features and enhancements:

Feature Description

Update of Anypoint Platform

Includes new Anypoint Platform features from April 2017 and earlier. See Anypoint Platform Features.

Anypoint Platform Audit Logs

Supports a searchable history of actions performed within Anypoint Private Cloud Edition. See Audit Logging.

SMTP Platform Alerts on High CPU and Memory

Enables the platform to send alerts when CPU and memory usage reach certain thresholds. See To Setup Alerts for CPU and Memory Usage.

Infrastructure upgrades

Adds improvements to the platform infrastructure, including:

Security improvements

Adds security improvements, including:

  • Addition of role-based access

  • Ability to disable local user

New platform monitoring dashboard

Allows users to quickly troubleshoot the platform to identify problems

Internal and External traffic monitoring

Allow users to see which services are getting the most requests, and see the response times, and throughput.

Improved troubleshooting information

Improved logs and information in the diagnose package to simplify troubleshooting of issues.

Improved backup and restore

Upgrading from 1.5.x to 1.6.x

See To Migrate to Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition, Version 1.6.x for information on how to upgrade to the current version.

Before upgrading, you must backup your system as described in To Backup and Restore Your System After the upgrade is complete, perform a restore to return your system to its previous state.

Problems with volume mounts in one node installations

You must download and run a script to fix the mount points in a one-node installation. The script is available here:



Only LVM2 versions 2.02.166-1.el7_3.5 and earlier are supported. Later versions of LVM2 are not supported.


Application artifact is deleted if two or more applications are using same .zip file.

Use different file names for each deployed file in the same environment.


Cannot delete a node that is no longer capable of running the Planet container. Also, cannot add it back to restore it.


Update of 1 node environments from 1.5.X to 1.6X does not downscale replicas beforehand, causing the update to fail.

Reduce replicas to 1 on 1.5.x single node installs before upgrading.


Update of identity management settings in UI sends unedited masked values.

In the Access Management OpenAM form, multiple scopes can not be saved in the UI.

Anypoint Runtime Manager

Runtime Manager Release Features and Issue Fixes


  • Improves support for promotion of hybrid applications between environment from the UI

  • Adds ability to enable and disable insights at deployment time for hybrid applications

  • Adds ability to configure the log levels at deployment time for hybrid applications


  • Enhances flow management by providing the ability to manage their problematic flows at runtime. You can disable a flow without disrupting the entire application.

  • Supports flow management, v2.0 functionality.

Anypoint Exchange

No new features or fixes in this release.

Access Management

Access Management Release Features and Issue Fixes


  • Added support for the client UI configuration forms for PingFederate and OpenAM.


  • Access Management v0.16 enables organization administrators and audit log viewers to see entitlement changes to their organization from the Audit Logs UI.

  • Added support for Ping Federate v8.2.1.1 for External Identity.

API Manager

API Manager Release Features and Issue Fixes


  • Adds pagination on the custom policies page.

  • Increases granularity of the Rate Limiting and Throttling policy configuration.

  • Adds ability to specify multiple throughput limits for an SLA tier using different time periods and units.


  • Fixed the View Application link that was not working with Runtime Manager.

  • Fixed the client secret on the developer portal applications detail page.

  • Fixed the link on the notification email when a new application is pending approval and the API belongs to a sub-organization.

  • Fixed an issue with uppercase WSDL on SOAP proxies.

  • Fixed the Basic Authentication template that was not working properly with Mule Runtime 3.8.1 and later when HTTP is used for LDAP instead of HTTPS.


  • API Manager 1.14.1 includes the following new features:

  • An advanced configuration to customize the response timeout of the auto-generated proxy.

  • To customize the response timeout of the deployed proxy, use the advanced options as described in step 5-h of section "Setting up a Proxy".

  • Fixed auto-generated proxy that was configured to an incorrect WSDL.

  • Fixed problems with import/export of an API on Windows.

  • API Designer 0.3.0 support


  • Updated the clients API to show multiple owners as well as the app ID.

  • Added a new API to query by client ID.

  • Fixed API Tooling bugs to support new API tooling.

  • Added performance enhancements


  • Added ability to enable and disable policies.

  • Improved support for dependencies between configurable policies using the required characteristics parameter.

  • Fixed issue so that OAS is accepted as a value instead of SWAGGER when requesting conversions.

  • Updated RAML parser to version 1.0.6-rc.1-patch

  • Updated API Console to version 3.0.16.


  • Enhances auto-completion to improve performance and browser response time.

  • Added a background process for parsing and validation.

  • Added a validation indicator.
