Adding a Scanner for ServiceNow AI Agents

Add a scanner to discover, import, and sync agents from ServiceNow AI Agents into Exchange. Then you can govern the agents and consume them in other applications.

The scanner imports only native ServiceNow AI Agent Studio agents. Agents registered in ServiceNow from external systems are not imported.

Before You Begin

Before adding the scanner, verify that you have these prerequisites:

  • Exchange Administrator permission

  • AI Asset Governance enabled and synced on your ServiceNow instance

  • A ServiceNow Table API integration user with read access to the alm_ai_* tables

  • An Application Registry entry in ServiceNow, which generates the OAuth client ID and client secret pair that the scanner uses to authenticate

The scanner authenticates to ServiceNow by using the OAuth 2.0 client credentials grant. You enter the instance URL, client ID, and client secret when configuring the scanner in Exchange. To create an Application Registry entry and obtain the client ID and client secret, see the ServiceNow documentation.

If AI Asset Governance is not enabled and synced on your ServiceNow instance, the scanner returns zero agents even when agents exist. Verify that AI Asset Governance is enabled and synced before you run the scanner.
