anypoint-cli-v4 plugins:install <plugin-name>
Use Anypoint Code Builder in VS Code to design, develop, and deploy applications to your Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition (Anypoint Platform PCE) environment. You can use Anypoint Code Builder without MuleSoft Vibes by following the standard Anypoint Code Builder documentation. MuleSoft Vibes is optional.
Before you start developing with Anypoint Code Builder, ensure that you have:
An Anypoint Platform PCE 4.3 environment
Access to an Anypoint Platform account on anypoint.mulesoft.com
This access is separate from your Anypoint Platform PCE license. Anypoint Code Builder uses it to retrieve assets and export the application artifact.
Mule runtime engine 4.9 LTS or 4.12 Edge support.
Microsoft Visual Studio Code (VS Code) installed on your local machine
Anypoint CLI installed and configured for your Anypoint Platform PCE instance

These Anypoint CLI plugins installed by running the following command once for each plugin:
anypoint-cli-v4 plugins:install <plugin-name>
Replace <plugin-name> with each of the following:
MuleSoft Vibes is optional. If you use it, install MuleSoft Vibes Skills on your local machine, in Claude, Copilot, or another supported developer agent.

To configure Anypoint Platform PCE with Anypoint Code Builder, connect your local VS Code environment to your Anypoint Platform account:
In VS Code, navigate to Settings > Extensions > Anypoint Code Builder (Platform).
Set the Mule Control Plane dropdown to Private Cloud Edition, and enter your PCE URL under Mule: Control Plane PCE Url.
For example: https://pce-instance.elb.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/
Optional: Install and configure MuleSoft Vibes Skills.
Open the Command Palette, run MuleSoft: Login to Anypoint Platform, and complete authentication in your browser.
If you use SSO or MFA, set the ANYPOINT_BEARER_TOKEN environment variable in your terminal to an access token from your authenticated Anypoint Platform session.
After you complete this setup, you can deploy Mule applications to Anypoint Platform PCE.
