Deploying an API Proxy to Hybrid

In API Manager, follow this procedure to deploy a proxy to hybrid if you use Mule Runtime 3.8 or later, API Gateway 2.x or later, or Mule 4.x.

When you configure an API instance, you choose to manage the instance as a basic endpoint or as endpoint with a proxy. If you choose Endpoint With A Proxy > Hybrid, use this deployment procedure.

To perform this procedure you need to meet the following prerequisites:

  • Completion of API configuration.

  • Access to a Mule Runtime that has been configured to pair with your organization in the case of a private server.

  • Registration of your private server with Mule Agent compatible with your Mule Runtime to deploy the API to a hybrid target:

    • For Mule 3.8, use Mule Agent 1.9.0

    • For Mule 4.x, use the Mule Agent specified in the release notes.

After saving the API Configuration you manage from Exchange or you import, Deployment Configuration appears:

  1. In API Manager, click Manage API > Manage API From Exchange, and configure management of the proxy asset.

  2. In API Configurations, if you want to deploy the API to Mule 4, checking this box: Check This Box If You Are Managing This Api In Mule 4. The checkbox is located at the bottom of API Configurations as shown in the following RAML, SOAP, and HTTP configuration screenshots:

After saving API Configurations, Deployment Configuration appears.

  3. In Deployment Configuration, in Hybrid Target, select the private server you registered with Mule Agent.

  4. Click Deploy.

  5. If you chose HTTPS for the scheme of the deployment, complete the steps to build HTTPS services.
